 Our area is famous for its cribs, but there is also a tradition of live nativity plays. A whole village takes part, there are craftspeople, hostelries and of course a stable complete with a real baby. I  love the simple joy and peace of being taken back in time amid the snow-capped mountains with the laughter of friends and a glass of mulled wine.
